Saturday Night Fever

This evening Joan and I attended our fourth play of the 2015 season, Saturday Night Fever.

Although regarded by many critics as one of the best films of 1977, we had not seen the movie. So Saturday Night Fever's storyline evolved in real time for us. We found the disco era well represented and the cast energetic and engaged.

The playhouse was almost completely filled but they were somewhat complacent. Thought at the final scene after the cast entered by way of the aisles that some attendants might get out of their seats and start dancing.

Late Night Catechism

This evening Joan and I attended our third play of the 2015 season, Late Night Catechism.

A good size crowd was in attendance at the Auburn Public Theater. We had our usual seats in the upper section of the theater. Some familiar faces in the audience.

Not knowing what to expect, we found the one-girl non-musical show entertaining. It helps to be a cognizant of Catholic schooling or the Catholic religion for the presentation to make sense.

Birding - Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge

South Spring Pool

Arrived at the parking lot of Montezuma National Wildlife Refuse at 9:00 AM. Entering the Auto-Drive greeted by Willow Flycatcher and a Killdeer.
There were two Juvenile Bald Eagles by the Spillway.

The highlight of the morning was viewing a Northern Harrier chasing 3 Juvenile Bald Eagles by the new pools along the Thruway.
After leaving the Auto-Drive went to the South Spring Pool, no dragonflies but a Painted Lady and a Emerald Spreadwing Damselfly.
Another great day for birding.

Syracuse Jazz Fest 2015

Due to stormy, rainy weather, we passed on the opening night and missed Buckwheat Zydeco.

But Saturday proved to be more pleasant. After purchasing dinner-to-go at Panera, we made our way to Onondaga Community College. We were directed to our parking space and walked the short distance to a hill on the left of the main stage.
