Week Twenty-Two - 30 to Go

The investigative work of Det. Mike Wilson coupled with Aline’s duties as a guidance counselors and the effects of Jamie’s birth defects provide the core for this novel.  A suspenseful and well defined characters make this a readable experience.

Week Twenty-One - 31 to Go

Set in the first 20 years of the 20th century, Charles Todd creates an interesting environment for this English police procedural, featuring Inspector Rutledge of Scotland Yard and his companion, Hamish MacLeod. Most of the characters in this story weren't very likable with the exception of Melinda Crawford.

Week Twenty - 32 to Go

Jane Langton usually provides pleasant reads, however, this mystery lacked excitement. Plus, the gross aspects of George Dryer, serial killer, were gratuitous.

Week Nineteen - 33 to Go

In Steeplechase, Jane Langston presents the past and present in alternating sections. Plus, Langton's own drawings add a touch of whimsy. Read this book as if viewing an antique album with the past being the mystery.
