Week Twenty-Two - 30 To Go

Stone Barrington with his unlimited money and his personal jet provides Stuart Woods with a character that can do the same thing over and over again with aplomb.

Week Twenty-One - 31 To Go

Not the best of the Lincoln Rhyme series, but the primary characters are familiar and the reference to remotely controlled processors is topical.

Week Twenty - 32 To Go

A slowwww going. Where have Patterson and Paetro hid Lindsay Boxer’s other Women’s Murder Club members? What’s with the ending?

Week Nineteen - 33 To Go

In the “cozy-historical” setting of 12th century England and Wales, Ellis Peters (a pseudonym) introduces her Welsh detective monk, Brother Cadfael. Peters understands the period and renders the setting well, but her lovely writing is obscured by too much verbiage. Thus, creating a story that moves at a snail’s pace. Dedicated mystery readers might find this laborious.

Week Eighteen - 34 To Go

The authors present the premise that racial inequality formed a brotherhood bond between Ali aka Cassius Clay and Malcolm Little aka Malcolm X. While the narrative of book comes up short, the photos, especially the cover photo, provide for contemplation.

Methodist Episcopal Congregation

Built in 1836 by the Methodist Episcopal Congregation, this is the oldest known Methodist Church in Wayne County, NY. The church operated continually until the 1960's when declining membership and funds forced its closure. The church, now home to the Butler Center Church Museum, is on the New York State and National Registers of Historic Places.
