Ludovico Sculpture Trail

After birding the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge auto-drive and purchasing fresh peaches at Sauder's Store, made my way to the Ludovico Sculpture Trail in search of a letterbox.

Parking just off the street at the head of the trail followed the Letterbox clue and began walking toward the letterbox destination. Encountered several sculptures along the way.
Susanne (Pluretti) Hawker
Designated as the "Protector of the Trail" this bust of Susanne Hawker greets you at the trailhead. On September 11, 1994, Hawker was appointed as the first female police officer of the Village of Seneca Falls Police Department, which was established in 1831.
"The Status of Women"
Next comes the trail’s first sculpture created by Trumansburg artist Betty Boggs. These two large tablets with a carved chain link  feature six symbols representing the right to vote, the right to hold property, the first Women’s Rights Convention, the right to higher education, equal pay for equal work and fair and equitable divorce laws.
Diana Smith
Diana Smith was elected in 2004 as the first female Mayor of the Village of Seneca Falls, NY since its incorporation in 1893.
Bloomers
The original bloomers were an article of women's clothing invented by Elizabeth Smith Miller of Peterboro, New York an early pioneer of the vulcanized rubber girdle, but popularized by Amelia Bloomer in the early 1850s (hence the name, a shortening of "Bloomer suit").
Finally came upon the canal worker sculptures that were hiding the letterbox.

But to my disappointment it was a no find. Perhaps the canal has washed the box away.
