Emita II - Syracuse to Seneca Falls
Arrived at Dutchman's Landing at 8:33 AM. Captain Dan was in the parking lot; he directed us where to park.
The crew, Meg, Lisa, and The Quiet One (a young man who never did introduce himself) greeted us at the gangplank of the Emita II. After placing our gear on a bench on the upper deck we made our way to the continental breakfast table on the lower deck. We both had a delicious cup of coffee and I had a creamy Danish. We ate our food at a table on the lower deck.
Promptly at 9:00 AM we left the dock. There were four Mute Swans in the water.
The first lock of the day was Lock 24 in Baldwinsville.
Through Lock 24 we came upon Paper Mill Island.
The canal banks, Cross Lake, and the locks were gathering places for fishermen:
There were several gnarly trees along the canal banks.
Several boats passed us over the course of our journey:
The Emita II went under many bridges:
The Richmond Aqueduct also provides a highlight and great photo op.

Also seen during the day:
