Using the descriptions of the natural beauty of Wyoming, C.J. Box puts Joe and Nate back together again. This simple story pulls Box’s usual political balance out of sync. In the novel’s conclusion the jihadists do not fare well, but was left wondering was this read a mystery or a thriller.
