Week Thirty-One - 21 To Go

This is a great read. At one time this was the definitive biography of Henry David Thoreau, but with the passage of time while still a touchstone, plus an indispensable resource, is best supplemented with other more current resources.

Week Thirty - 22 To Go

The convenience of Joe's injuries allow him to avoid telling Lindsay the truth regarding his departure. This along with the lack of a big finale might put some Women’s Murder Club readers off. But overall James Patterson with help from Maxine Paetro continues the series.

Week Twenty-Nine - 23 To Go

Daniel Salmieri’s illustrations provide the perfect picture for Adam Rubin’s great googley-moogley. Might be a tad too long for a bedtime story, but should hold a child’s interest.

Parade

This evening Joan and I attended our second play of the 2017 season, Parade at the Preston H. Thomas Theatre in The Merry-Go-Round Playhouse. We took our raincoats but the evening turned out well. Once in our seats we surveyed the crowd which was somewhat near capacity.

Review by David Wilcox.

Review by Linda Loomis.

Review by Tony Curalla

Review by Syracuse NewTimes.

After the play we went to Parker's for dinner. There we were joined by members of the cast, including Fergie L. Philippe who played the part of Jim Conley

Other shows of this season:

Week Twenty-Eight - 24 To Go

If you are fan of Spenser novels, this effort by Ace Atkins (who is not Robert B. Parker) will keep your interest. Plus Hawk is back in the action. But Atkins seems to espouse politically correct attitudes that Spencer might object too.

Week Twenty-Seven - 25 To Go

On the jacket, James Patterson claims that this is his best work in 20 years. The title provides the question, where is it? While the wordy plot becomes long in the tooth, the ending saves the day. Patterson fans will not be disappointed.
