Leaf-Peeping 2018

After Book Club Joan and I made our way to The Edge in Port Leyden.

After settling in we went into Lowville NY for diner at Jeb's. Returning to the motel we had a cup of coffee and a good night's rest.

The next morning we had breakfast at The Pioneer Cafe in Glenfield NY.  Victoria (Torie) was our waitress. Joan had the Homestead and I had an omelet.
Then we drove to Camp Michael.

View of the front yard.

We continued down the Stillwater Road to Stillwater. The water level is extremely low.
Retracing our drive we continue along the Stillwater Road to the opening at the Stillwater Reservoir. The water on the right side was draining into the left side.

Once in Eagle Bay went to The Tobaggan Inn for lunch. The place was packed. Seems everyone was using the day to view the Fall colors. We then went to the Arrowhead Park in Inlet.

Then on to Old Forge.

Returning to The Edge, we freshened up and went out to dinner at The Pine Tree Inn.
On Thursday morning we returned to The Pioneer Cafe in Glenfield NY for breakfast.
We both had the Homestead.
Pastels on the wall

Before heading home, we stopped at the Tug Hill Vineyards. There Mike Marion, the owner, unlocked the tasting room for us. He explained that a bus tour had just arrived and someone would be with us soon. After we replenished our supply of Lake Effect wine, we headed for home.
Guard (but friendly) Dog

The heavens have opened up, perhaps a residue from Michael. The Thruway was busy with trucks. We went to Doug's for dinner, Emily, Michael and Lily joined us. We had apple fritters for desert.
