Camp Michael
Joan and I decided to check out the leaves in Lewis County. So after doing a couple of errands and visiting with Bradley we headed up North.Leaving the Thruway at Exit 36 we finally completed the micro geocache. We have been wanting to complete this one for years, but never seemed to take the time to stop before today.
The further we went North the more dramatic was the change in leaf color.
Traveling across Rt. 177 we pulled into Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery. There we quickly located the cleverly hidden geocache.
Tree in the back of the cemetery
Once at Camp Michael we unloaded and had lunch. Joan had prepared chicken salad at home.
Using our new lawn mower I mowed the lawn. Afterwards I realized how fortunate we are to have a self-propelled lawn mower at home.
Yard looking better
After cleaning up and having a cocktail hour we made our way to the Coach Light Inn for dinner.
This family owned restaurant features home made
entrees and deserts.
The kids had dined here last month and recommended we try it. We were not disappointed. The owner served as our waitress. She helped Joan make her selection. She had Tropical Haddock with the salad bar. I had a Seafood Platter containing scallops, shrimp, and clams served over pasta. I had strawberry short cake for dessert. As Heather had told us it was excellent.
We returned to camp safely. Viewed Louisville's romp over Syracuse. Retired early.
